Spay & Neuter Clinic Success!!

The Telluride Animal Foundation has committed a large portion of its resources to solving the overwhelming problem of pet overpopulation and has become a leader in offering safe, affordable, high-volume sterilizations in several surrounding communities like Montrose, Cortez, Delta, Crawford as well as in New Mexico & Utah. The ultimate goal is to reduce the number of unwanted animals by increasing the number of spay and neuter clinics available to the public.  Overall we have covered part or all of the costs for 3306 spay/neuter surgeries with several organizations such as: the Second Chance Humane Society, Montrose Animal Protection Association, Animal Birth Control in Grand Junction, Soul Dog to name a few!

TAF has sponsored three Soul Dog Rescue Spay/Neuter clinics in June, July & August, and with the help of a loyal group of volunteers they were able to perform surgeries on 405 animals during the 3 clinics!  At TAF, our ultimate goal is to reduce the number of unwanted animals by increasing the number of spay and neuter clinics available to the public, and we love the work that Soul Dog is doing!

These numbers are astounding when you consider that Soul Dog relies solely on volunteer support at these clinics.  In their own words, their key to success is to “Expect more than others think is possible, dream more than others think is practical, and risk more than others think is safe!”  By dreaming big Soul Dog is accomplishing great things, and your donations help them humanely control the pet overpopulation problem through exciting and innovative programs.

Your donations help us keep this and other programs going, and we appreciate all that you do to support TAF in our mission to reduce the number of homeless pets!

The next Soul Dog clinic will be on September 14 in Shiprock, New Mexico. If you have time to volunteer or would like to donate, please contact TAF at 970-728-1100.
