Our gratitude runs deep

Dear Editor,You could hear the cries of joy all the way out in the bean fields when the Buffalo Woman Ranch received a phone call in early October from Jenny Karzinski, DVM.

She knew of our work in equine experiential learning and was aware that we also had a few rescued horses in our herd of 10. The call was regarding a donation of hay from the Telluride Animal Foundation. We set up a date then they delivered and unloaded 100 bales of hay themselves at our ranch in Dove Creek! What a day … We contacted others in the community who also had placed and/or adopted rescued horses, they were on hand to help and receive some of the hay.

Given these times, high priced and limited hay, our gratitude was deep! Our work involves horses helping humans to heal and grow. This donation was such a generous and an uplifting support by humans for humans; thank you Telluride Foundation for your profound support and acknowledgement. As we approach Thanksgiving, may your spirit of giving be celebrated and support given back to your organization for all you do!
