What an extraordinary morning it was to take flight with two beautiful mother/ daughter basset hounds to their forever home in Santa fe, NM.  Gorgeous and Dazzle were relinquished to Black Canyon Animal Sanctuary when their elderly owner could not care for them any longer.  Once Debbie, the owner of Black Canyon took them in, she made sure they were healthy and put their information on petfinder.com (a site solely for adopting animals all around the country). Thats when Jane and John, an incredible couple from Santa fe  who love Bassets just had to have them.

Then came the issue …. How do we get them from Crawford, CO to Sante fe, NM?  Thats where the founders of the Telluride Animal Foundation and Air Telluride, LLC came into play. We landed on a private strip in Crawford Co, loaded up the two 65lb pups , gave them a little doggie rescue remedy (a herbal doggie relaxant) and 2 hours later we landed in Sante fe and were greeted by Jane and John. Everyone fell instantly in LOVE. This could not be a happier ending for two sweet basset hounds.
