Another Adoption Day

On Saturday February 11th, the Telluride Animal Foundation sponsored an adoption day outside the Thrift Shop. 9 dogs and cats were adopted including 4 very cute Great Pyrenees/Labrador puppies (check out the photo of one of the adoptees). This is a great testament to the dog friendliness of Telluride and, even better, these 4 puppies will grow up seeing their brothers and sisters around town.

Most of the dogs and cats came from Black Canyon Animal Sanctuary, in Crawford, CO. And a couple dogs came from Hoof & Paw in Nucla, CO. There were a wide assortment of dogs, the four puppies, a Great Dane mix, a Husky mix, a Pekinese, a Heeler mix, cats, and more… It was sunny and warm out in front of the thrift shop and there was a crowd all day meeting the animals. The event was so successful that they may come back once a month!

Stay posted for our next adoption event. Even if you can’t take home another rescue animal, your help and support is always welcome.
